I suddently started receiving “endorsements” from people on LinkedIn, people I haven’t talked to in a while. Looked into it and realized that this is a new feature that rolled out this past week. Recommendations do take a long time to write, so I feel like this one click endorsement is a clever way to increase activity on LinkedIn. As an online resume, you don’t get much activity on your site, so it makes sense that they’re trying to incorporate features from popular networking sites. These endorsements sound eerily similar to Klout endorsements. Klout, who just received an endorsement from Microsoft in the form of some serious cash.
